As countless students will attest, participating in Mock Trial can be a life-changing activity. Through this hands-on educational endeavor, students not only learn about the U.S. justice system and jury trials, they also gain in self-confidence, communications, and analytical thinking skills. The friendships they form, and the intellectual challenges they overcome, will serve them well in any field they choose to pursue, legal or otherwise.

This year CCCE will host 8 Regional competitions across the state, from Wilmington to Asheville. Nearly 70 teams from 41 different schools take part in the competition. A wide variety of schools participate: urban public schools, rural private schools, suburban charter schools, and even two groups of homeschoolers.

Without the generous support of donors like you, we would not be able to offer these unique opportunities to the attorneys and leaders of tomorrow. With your gift today, we will be able to expand into under-served areas of the state and offer additional support to schools in economically challenged areas. We will be able to develop summer camps and other educational programs to help more students gain the civic education necessary to promote an informed citizenry. For over 20 years, the NCAJ High School Mock Trial program has impacted hundreds of students. As you view our website, take a moment to reflect on how you can join our mission of “investing in our future, creating tomorrow's leaders.”

CCCE is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible. Gifts will be used to pay for a variety of costs, including but not limited to, facility costs, free case materials provided to schools, travel allotments to help schools for which such costs are a burden, meals for our volunteer attorneys, awards, and general operating costs. Working together, we can continue to give North Carolina students an unparalleled hands-on legal education experience.

Giving through United Way? Please consider designating CCCE to receive a portion of your gift!
